The braggot

A braggot is a style of beer that dates back to at least 1100, possibly originating in Wales. Original mentions of braggots all reference adding spices and honey to a beer recipe. Modern-day braggots have omitted the spices, but the honey remains.

Our braggot kit offers two options — oatmeal stout and summer wheat. You will be up and running with whole-grain brewing in no time, ready to tap your beer in about three weeks!

Mead

Meads have been around even longer, and were once the drink of the middle ages. Once again, modern-day meads tend to omit the many spices that medieval brewers favored. But once you get the hang of brewing a straight mead, it will be easy to experiment with different spice additions!
